ApplesReduce your risk while you fundraise

Entering Race for Life is a great way to combine supporting Cancer Research UK and helping yourself to stay fit and healthy.

Whether you prefer to run, walk or jog, staying physically active will help to reduce your risk of breast, bowel and other cancers.

Small changes make a big difference

The exercise you choose doesn’t have to be strenuous – it’s doing it regularly that is important.

Half an hour of moderate exercise, like walking, swimming or housework, five days a week helps to keep you fit.

So you can use your Race for Life training to get into the habit of making exercise part of your daily routine.

Top tips

In partnership with the charity, Weight Concern, Cancer Research UK has produced the Ten Top Tips programme.

This includes weight loss tips to help you take in fewer calories through food and burn more calories through activity.
